MIXED MEDIA ART LESSONS FOR KIDS Class #8: "Grids and Lines a study"

A study to explore the grid and lines

The children were given a pencil, a black crayon, and a black marker and of course a blank piece of paper.

1. They were asked to divide the paper into compartments by drawing horizontal and vertical lines. They chose how many, how straight, crocket or long they should be.

2. They were asked to fill each compartment with its on grid pattern.

The challenge was to vary the lines as much as possible:

thick

thin

straight

crocked

wavy

organic

random

zigzag
inter-
rupted

short

long

oblique
horizontal

vertical

close
together

far
apart

parallel

and

so

on...

I think the result of this exercise is quite surprising. What do you think?
